November News
New Release: The Weaver of the Middle Desert!
I'm a bit later with my November update than I'd planned, but that's because I was waiting until my new story was available. I'm pleased to announce the release of the third of the Sisters Avramapul trilogy of novellas, this one focusing on the eldest sister, Arzu. She and middle sister Pali decide to visit the youngest, Sardeet—and though this time Sardeet doesn't need rescuing, they still manage to find a bit of an adventure. I hope you enjoy it!
I wanted to give a more general update on some things I'd been hoping to have completed before the end of 2024. Unfortunately, production of the audiobook for The Hands of the Emperor has been delayed. I will let you know once I have a new release date. At the moment I hope it will be next year.
Likewise, I'm afraid that the next Greenwing & Dart will not be out this year either—I have been working on it and have determined I need to write at least one of and possibly all the remaining books in the series at once before #7 comes out. On the downside, this means it will be a longer wait for #7. On the upside, it does mean that you won't be waiting indefinitely for the rest after that!
Since that's going to take a while, I am working on a few other projects, some short and some long. More updates on those next month.
I am continuing to work on my website and its contents too. Over the coming months I hope to begin adding Large Print editions, as well as multi-volume print sets of The Hands of the Emperor and At the Feet of the Sun for those who would like to have them in print but prefer formats other than 900-page doorstoppers.
And last but not least, Jo Walton named The Hands of the Emperor as one of her top 10 fantasy books of the century so far. What an honour to be in the company on that list.
